Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have officially confirmed that their engagement is over.
The couple shared the news exclusively to the Today show, indicating that they have no hard feelings towards one another and are instead “better as friends.”
In a statement , the couple said after their years-long relationship, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects,” they said in a statement to Today. “We wish the best for each other and one another’s children.”
Lopez, and Rodriguez, also asked for privacy for the sake of their children.
The pop superstar is the parent of 13-year-old twins, son Max and daughter Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The former Yankee has two daughters, Natasha, 16, and Ella, 12, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
The couple were previously set to marry but delayed their wedding twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
