Some tips that may help alleviate the changes that you may experience after a natural birth include the following:
- Be prepared for vaginal bleeding after giving birth, and be sure to stay away from tampons and use long sanitary pads for the duration of the bleeding.
- When you regain your strength, begin immediately with Kegel exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and help with postpartum incontinence.
- Ask your doctor for pain relievers, especially in the first days after birth, as the pain usually subsides after a few days of natural delivery.
- Go to the doctor if you face any problems, in some more severe cases, surgical intervention is needed to repair any damage that occurred in the pelvic floor area, such as uterine prolapse or bladder problems.
