Pope Francis has left a hospital in Rome after undergoing intestinal surgery 11 days ago, local media reported on Wednesday.
Photographers at Gemelli Hospital saw two cars escorted by Vatican security leaving from a side entrance shortly before 11:00 am (09.00 GMT)
after employees put a wheelchair in one of the cars.
The windows of one of the cars painted black.
The 84-year-old Pope Francis underwent surgery to remove part of his colon on the Fourth of July.
On Sunday, he appeared in public for the first time since his surgery
standing for ten minutes as he spoke from a balcony from his hospital ward.
